The IQ8-HC is one of the latest models in the microinverter range. This series features exceptionally high efficiency, enabling maximum energy generation from solar panels. This generation of inverters is known for its highest energy production and reliability on the market.
An important feature of the IQ8 microinverters is the presence of integrated MC4 connectors, which allow for quick and easy installation on the roof using a click-and-play system.
Rapid shutdown function
The IQ8-HC microinverters feature a rapid shutdown function that meets the strictest safety standards. Unlike many string inverters, the IQ8-HC microinverters offer an integrated safety switch. This ensures that the IQ8 microinverters meet the highest safety requirements in the event of a fire.
In situations where the AC power source is interrupted, for example due to an AC switch or power failure, the IQ8-HC microinverter automatically activates the quick shutdown function.
IQ8-HC Burst Mode Technology
The IQ8 microinverters also feature Burst Mode technology, an innovative feature that ensures the inverter performs optimally even in low sunlight or high temperatures.
Burst Mode continuously analyzes the voltage output during each AC cycle—which, at a frequency of 60 Hz, corresponds to 60 cycles per second. Every 1/60 of a second, Burst Mode performs a new calculation to determine the ideal output voltage.
When the solar panels in the system deliver less than 30% of their maximum capacity, Burst Mode kicks in. The IQ8-HC microinverter stores the generated energy in integrated capacitors to ensure optimal efficiency even in reduced solar irradiation.
Features IQ8-HC
The EIQ8-HC microinverter delivers a maximum power of 380 watts. However, it is possible to connect solar panels with a power output of up to 560 watts peak, as the IQ8-HC limits the power output above 380 watts.
The IQ8-HC microinverter is compatible with solar panels containing 54 (or 108 half), 60 (or 120 half) and 72 (or 144 half) cells.
A microinverter is required for each individual solar panel.
